Clutch Fork

So I've been looking at a lot of video about putting the Hog's Head on. I have the Books and the Model T tips videos. All they say about putting the clutch fork in is be careful because it likes to swing up. My question is what grove does it go into. There are 2 groves below the spring. Is it the grove closest to the spring or the drums? It looks like the clutch fingers would get in the way if it were on the grove closest to the drums.

It goes in the rear slot. I use some dental floss to hold it in place while introducing the hogshead. Tie a loop around the U at the top and tie it off. Then tie the loose ends around the shaft and tie it off. Trim the ends if you like. You can retrieve the floss after you have finished, if you can. It doesn't do any harm if that little bit gets left behind.
Hope this helps. Allan from down under.

Thank you all. Now I see Page 133. I don't know how I missed that. I like the dental floss idea. I read a post from you where you described it before.
