1911 wire harness routing detail needed

Hello, I am about to install my wiring harness on my new firewall. When my car came to me, the harness was fastened to the frame rail with spring clips, then ran vertically up to the hood former where it turned right and ran underneath the hood former to the coil box connections. The harness was held by several large staples along the way. Is this correct, and should I copy this arrangement in the new installation? Thanks in advance, Bill

Bill, the 4 wires run inside as asphalt impregnated cardboard tube that mounts under the hood board with 2 special clips. The wires are then fastened to the dash using a small brass clamp that is nailed to the dash. I'll try to post some pictures. I think the wires and tube are available from Lang's or from Gail Rodda.

Thanks Kim! Looks like I had better start looking for change in the couch. If you (or anyone) have photos of this harness installed, it would be very helpful. Cheers, Bill

Bill
It is pretty much tucked behind the hood former.
There is not much of it to see.
