Anyone know how the jumpers go on the 12 coils? Thanks Randall

How are you keeping oil out of the E timer on a 12 cam gear cover?

I had to set timing cover up in a mill and bore it out for the modern seal.

This illustration may help:

- Fuse Jumper Installation on Heinz Coil Points.JPG (22.72 KiB) Viewed 2203 times
Early coils (Heinz, Kingston, etc.) lacked the innovation of a movable cushion spring contact that made them notoriously difficult to adjust for equal and consistent firing time . The movable cushion spring contact present on the 1913-1927 KW coil points that made the task much easier.
How do those early coils run now that they are controlled by the E-Timer?

Unfortunately, no. I don't presently have any Heinz coils available. I created that image illustrating the fuse jumper connected across the point contacts. The objective of the fuse jumper is to bypass (short out) the coil point contacts so all primary coil current passes through the fuse jumper rather than the coil point contacts. The coil points will still vibrate and buzz but no current will pass through the contacts with fuse jumpers properly installed for use with the E-Timer.
I may place an ad in the classifieds to purchase a Heinz and Kingston coil so I can provide photos of fuse jumper placement in the future. Also want to to investigate the possibility of producing a coil adaptor for the ECCT. I don't know how readily available those early coils are. Perhaps, I can just borrow one of each type of early coil to photograph and capture the dimensions.
