Re: You can do anything with a Ford !!
Neat post card.
I find it interesting that the rear fenders are flat, '15-'16 and the tail light is all brass E&J. That would be '13 or earlier.
Not that it matters.
Thanks
Rich

When did I do that?

I noticed that too, Rich. Looks like an acetylene head lamp . . . As Steve J. would say, "parts salad" back in the day I wonder who was driving the car ? The plowman very likely found his driver much less responsive than the horse he was used to !

I feel sorry for the fellow out in the hot sun with the plow while the driver is in his air conditioned car listening to the radio!

Ground must be pretty hard if it takes 20 horses to pull a single bottom?

Re: You can do anything with a Ford !!
The person driving was probably his 12 year old son, listening to his commands and doing what he was told. .

Re: You can do anything with a Ford !!
I wonder how he got it to stop? I think I can see a rope or something between the back window and the man. Also something going between the window along the armrest and false door. Maybe connected to the parking lever?

Looks like If he pushes the steering wheel forward it presses the clutch. You see a vertical shaft just in front of the rear seat cushion and a rod going down an angle. Don

Appears to be a 1911 Torpedo.

Re: You can do anything with a Ford !!
The second one is a 1912 torpedo roadster. Based upon the standard front fenders, and the higher seat sides. The 1911 is noticeably lower on the seat sides. Also, the straight windshield. The 1911 had a rakish look with the lower windshield angled back.
The first one draws a question mark. Most likely a 1913/'14 with 1915/'16 rear fenders?

How things change. That torpedo in the photo is a mud bug, beaten like an old mule, but what would you pay to have it in your garage now? Bemused, Bill

Re: You can do anything with a Ford !!
With an auxiliary transmission one would have the time to start it in motion and wait for the plow to hop on!
With an auxiliary transmission one might get bored and wander off before the plow got there to hop on!
I have no auxiliary. I engage the transmission with the parking break. Direct high. Idled down you can walk faster! With an auxiliary transmission one might get bored and wander off before the plow got there to hop on!
