I use my real name so people can contact me easily. A user name is a superfluous complication.

My user name "Fundytides" is a little bit of promotion for our little corner of the world. The Bay of Fundy, connected to the Atlantic Ocean has the highest tides in the world and offers unique features found few, if any, other places-Reversing Falls (Saint John River), The Rocks at Hopewell Cape, Tidal Bore(Peticodiac River), the Fundy Trail, Stonehammer UNESCO Geopark, the best lobsters in the world (along with the neighboring State of Maine), Right Whale habitat and many unique seabird and fish habitats. When border restrictions are a memory, considering visiting us in the Maritime Provinces (New Brunswick-my home, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island). You won't be disappointed.

Oldav8tor ---- I guess because I'm an old pilot - licensed 46 years next month - I also fly an airplane that is older than I am by three years. I've used the nickname on other sites and didn't think about it too much when the registration here asked for one. It's nice that my real name is published in the box to the right as I prefer to go by Tim.

I always used Indiana Trucks because parts were hard to find and no one knew of the truck. Then someone wanted everyone to use real names so I changed it and had no room for the old one. More people knew the truck than knew me anyway.

David, My 4xgreat-grandfather emigrated from Yorkshire and settled in Mapleton NS. My grandfather was born in North Derby NB and was raised in Charlottetown PEI. As soon as I saw your username, I knew what part of the world you were in.

I seem to be one of the few who include our location in our log-in name. I wish more of us would do it, because.... well, you understand.

On this website I use my name. On the HCCA and AACA websites I use oldcarfudd, for reasons which should need no explaining. When I write articles for thew Horseless Carriage Gazette, I use Gil Fitzhugh the Elder because my son, also a Gil Fitzhugh but with a different middle initial, is also in the affliction.

I've been a member of maybe 6 to 8 forums over the years. This is the only one where I felt comfortable enough to use my real name. This is a great group of folks with which to interact.

Been my first name since the o-o-o-o-ld forum, where pretty much everyone used their name. Easier to remember that way, which makes a difference as we get older... um... what were we talking about?
On other forums I also go by "Lassen Forge", after the 1870's blacksmith shop that our 1970's home (a former hunting cabin) is built next to - a nice place, the only issue is it's "horse-sized", not "car-sized", so working on things is usually a challenge!

Tmodeldriver, because why not? Sometimes in the South we call 'em T Models and A Models. I don't know why.
Yesterday afternoon I had the 26 touring out hauling grand younguns and some cousins and a couple aunts and uncles around the heighborhood while others hid the Easter eggs. Everybody said they had a good time. Seems to me that good times are what these old junk Fords are all about.
Happy Easter, forum friends. Bob

Mine's self explanatory....but ironic...because I avoid cars with rust-through panels.
Although I'm about to change that. I'm wanting to teach myself sheet metal repair and replacement and am looking for a 71-73 Vega Kammback to use as my subject. I had one during my assignment to Clark Air Base and loved the looks of the little car, in spite of the miserable engine and the fact that they were all probably rusting on the assembly line. I'd like to find a complete but rusty one and outfit it with a small, modern powerplant (maybe even electric).
Then I might have to update my username. My kids call me the Junk Whisperer.

That would probably work.

Y-u-u-u-u-p! I used that one for a looooong time, tho honestly, I had such a rash of bad (as in gleefully abusive to the point of tears) bosses from there I needed to change it, both for my own sanity and to disassociate my "normal" life with people like that.

I guess I'm another one of those guys that never grew up, (although I am getting older). The name comes from the car I drive; a 1967 Pontiac GTO. Its the car I drove to high school and just couldn't ever even think of getting rid of it. (it has over 300,000 miles on it now).

Here too, most folks that know what a T is, call'em T models, still don't know why.
