My Model T parts are going on a tour
I had a part shipped from Indiana to Milwaukee. Indy to Aurora, IL, to Milwaukee suburbs, and now it is at the Chicago International Dist Center. Makes me wonder where they are going to ship it next. To OZ?

I had a compressor shipped from Tenessee to Texas, and used the tracking feature. It made as far as Dallas, which is a hundred miles or so east of me, then it started moving north up across MIssouri and into Nebraska. I called UPS or whoever the shipper was to ask about it and the nice customer service lady said, "Don't even try to understand our system!".

Re: My Model T parts are going on a tour
Let tell about a tour. Ordered 4 tires for trailer, 3 day shipping. Well I got tracking number and the tires left a wharehouse in the next state. Great, says I then the next day they sat for two days. Then 2 started to move, got them day later. The other two sat and sat. I called, what about my tires? We will see they say. Still no movement, I called again. Well one moved to three states the wrong way. Then all the sudden they were both on the other coast!
We will send you two more. They moved for a day or so and stopped. Then yesterday driver pulls up and unload 4 tires. The lost two and the new two. So now instead of short 2 tire I have 2 extra! Waiting for a call ? Dan

I ordered 2 tires and 4 tubes from Blockley in the UK. They happend to make i 3 colli - each tire was a colli and then a box with the tubes.
Those 3 parcels just took each their own route to Denmark and my driveway. Pretty interesting!

Almost as bad, Tim, was when we ordered some candles for the house from the west coast area, and it went PAST our house (Ohio) out to PA, and then back to us! And they wonder why the postal service is broke!
The other Tim

Vehicle transport is the same.
It’s just a larger package in the mail
so to speak.
Folks don’t realize that logistics dictate a full trailer goes down the road containing cargo that gets closer to the destination.
It makes sense from a shipping standpoint
