What was the first year Demountable rims were offered ?

1919 "Demountable rims available as an option, using 30 x 3-1/2 tires all around. Hayes, Kelsey, and Ford supplied wheels, so there were variations in the style. The rims were zinc plated."

Several manufactures offers different types for Fords earlier.

They are confusing. Best I could figure out was the Hayes and Ford demountable rims are different but still interchangeable with their respective fellows but the Kelsey has removable lugs and requires a different fellow. (And I wouldn't be surprised if got this completely wrong )

On our Canadian sourced cars, demountable rims were all of the loose lug type until well into the 1925 model cars, when fixed lug rims became available.
Loose lug rims of different manufacturers are interchangeable.
Fixed lug rims are a different kettle of fish. I believe Ford and Kelsey rims will fit all wheels taking fixed lug rims. However, Hayes rims, having the foot on the lug, which extends in over the felloe, require a relief in the felloe to accommodate the lug foot, making these rims less interchangable than the others.
Mixing loose lug wheels with fixed lug rims is another thing altogether, as they are designed to wedge on the felloes in different ways.

Electric starter available in 1919 but only for the closed cars.
