Headlight anti-rattle spring

Is this the way the spring fits?

The reflectors are extremely tight and don't move in the housing. Should I clearance them?

Correct position, be sure the wire is placed deep into the lamp housing groove.
Repop springs are made of tougher metal than originals, so there will be pressure to seat the reflector. Sometimes shortening the repop spring at the looped connector works for me.
