Many of the buildings still stand in Ligonier ,IN. I live about 12 miles from there and worked for HVAC and plumbing contactor when I was out of school. Wonderful old victorian houses in that town and I worked in many of them. The garment industry built the town around the turn of the century. Not this one, the prior one.

Re: A few more Main St.
The main St in Lowville NY (actually pronounced Lau Ville) is where my grandfather was born. However, he left there before the Model T was invented! He moved to Los Angeles before 1900. In 1926 he drove a Model T from Los Angeles to Plymouth Rock, stopping at Lowville. In 1992 I visited one of my dad's second cousins who was 91 at the time. He remembered my grandfather's visit with the Model T. Interesting to see the picture

Re: A few more Main St.
Great photos! I'm always impressed by how wide the main streets were. Angle parking was the norm, to accommodate a horse and buggy which is difficult to parallel park
