Many of the buildings still stand in Ligonier ,IN. I live about 12 miles from there and worked for HVAC and plumbing contactor when I was out of school. Wonderful old victorian houses in that town and I worked in many of them. The garment industry built the town around the turn of the century. Not this one, the prior one.😁

The main St in Lowville NY (actually pronounced Lau Ville) is where my grandfather was born. However, he left there before the Model T was invented! He moved to Los Angeles before 1900. In 1926 he drove a Model T from Los Angeles to Plymouth Rock, stopping at Lowville. In 1992 I visited one of my dad's second cousins who was 91 at the time. He remembered my grandfather's visit with the Model T. Interesting to see the picture

Great photos! I'm always impressed by how wide the main streets were. Angle parking was the norm, to accommodate a horse and buggy which is difficult to parallel park :lol:
