Anyone in VA area have any input of fuel availability, specialty along 81? I know this is major truck route and am concerned about diesel along that route.
Around here they are lined up at gas pumps.

The cyber attack on the pipeline may throw a wrench into Luray travel plans. As if we haven't had enough to deal with...

You can check the website: GasBuddy Map at this link. You will need to click on the + to blow up the map to see the roads and rates for gas. Then click on the filter icon on the right to select the type of fuel you need. Best of luck.

Diesel fuel is available along the I81 corridor in Carlisle / Harrisburg PA area, which is warehouse / distribution central heaven. However prices range from $3.19 to $3.49 per gallon. I plan to attend Luray and will leave PA with a full tank (diesel). It is about 150 miles to the flea market from my home. I will refill in Virginia on my way home as fuel is $0.50 a gallon cheaper versus PA. I expect you should be able to get diesel in the New Market, VA area, which is where you jump off I81 to get to Luray, without any problems. Good luck and have a safe trip!

When are you heading out? I am in Johnson City Tennessee right now and have not seen any problems but have not been looking since we are in the car and don't use diesel. Will your route pass through Johnson City? I will look around tomorrow while we are out but have not noticed anyone running out as of today. I would take some extra in cans if you think you might have problems finding some.

I will be going through Johnston city. Right on up I81.
I have heard that Ga is all but out. They are limiting amounts.

Came up today on I-81 from Knoxville to Charlottesville virginia, and all the truck stop open and plenty of fuel. We had no trouble finding gas and saw diesel at all the big places

But...panic buying is hitting today late as the news media makes big fuss...just like toilet paper panic!

Daughter in Knoxville reported just now lines at pumps near the school where she teaches. And driving in to boutique hotel where we are staying tonite, right at the Univ Virginia campus, a station was lined up with cars on the streets...panic stricken students or professors

My plans were to take care of business in Tennessee this week and end up on the east end by Thursday but we ran out things to do yesterday and had 3 extra days to waste before Luray. I have been here since Friday morning and didn't know about the gas problem till last night when I saw something on the news before I fell asleep. We have changed plans after seeing the idiots filling up jugs and lined up at every pump in Rogersville today. I only need one full tank to make it home from here and we headed west today so decided to just keep going so we are away from the area. I don't want to be looking for gas just to get home and I bet no gas cans are left in any stores around here. The rest of the people here are not going nuts and prices are staying steady around $2.79 for gas but I saw $3.19 and long lines for gas after we drove out of the mountains in Rogersville just west of Johnson City. I don't think we will have a problem but they may run out of toilet paper there and I think I will buy up all the toothpicks I can find on my way home and create a shortage so I can sell them one at a time for $5 each next week. Better order yours now as the price will go up with demand without notice.

We are in Marion, Va (exit 45 on I-81). The stations here are starting to run out of gas and I hear that some are raising prices. We are still planning on going to Luray and just hoping we will be able to get back .

Got gas on 220 near Boones Mill today, 2.79 saw some stations with bags over the pump nozzles but no problem at Sheetz and Exxon. I can make it there and back on a tank and a can so I will not buy any in Luray.

FWIW: The Colonial Pipeline mucky-mucks are saying that everything will be up and running again by the end of the week. There is no shortage; there's plenty of gasoline; it's just stuck in the pipelines because of the lowlifes who hacked the computers. So until things are back online, they have to operate manually which is slowing things down.

Drove intoLuray today, absolutely no trouble getting diesel, prices very.

The pipeline is back up and running. Gas will be flowing soon. But even so, You can get plenty of gas at Inwood, West Virginia (exit 5 on I-81) which is about 60 miles north of Luray.

Pilot stations have plenty of gas and diesel, they have a large terminal in Knoxville and a large fleet of trucks and there is a Colonial terminal here,gas is flowing but it only goes about five mph so it will take about two weeks to fill the system.
