Just replaced the triple gear bushings (thanks Dan Hatch), bands replaced, new two piece transmission shaft, and driver cam in my '20. Engine back in the car Monday and fired it up Tuesday night. Teresa and I are SO looking forward to Spokane as our first post-retirement tour.

I don't know if all the hotel rooms are taken but Teresa and I purchased a toyhauler and will be staying in the campgrounds, so we cancelled our hotel reservations today.

We're driving old #4 up to the tour and will be looking for some good scenic old rural roads through Oregon and Washington. Any suggestions?

Ed aka #4

Ed, Hwy 395 north thru Oregon is a 2 lane highway and goes thru some beautiful country, once it gets into Washington it becomes a freeway. If you take off on Hwy11 at Pendleton and Hwy 12 at Walla Walla, follow 12 to Hwy 127 to Dodge and 195 at Colfax that will take you into Spokane. That is the route that I would take, what ever way you go have a safe and fun trip.

TWO DAYS until the National Tour registration closes on 9 June.
It’s looking like a great bunch of folks will be there to partake of the Inland Empire’s great northwest hospitality and scenery.
And after the year we just went through - we’re ready to do some serious touring!

I’ll see you all there - be safe and take your time traveling to Washington...

Hwy 395 Towing A Trailer

I wouldn’t advise pulling a trailer from
the south along Hwy 395.

I have taken it both directions from
Hwy 58 at Kramer Junction in California
up to Washington & both times encountered
heavy hailstorms during the summer months.
