One more thing. My 27 has the headlight bar. I really don't want to remove it because to do so will break the paint on the bolt heads and possibly the fenders. I can't see how I can remove the engine trans assembly without removing the bar. Am I correct on this??

I have a '27. I can't see how you can leave the headlamp bar in place - unless you lift off the whole body!
However, I don't see why the paint should suffer. The heads have square shafts beneath, so they should not turn. The nuts can be removed under the fenders, and then the bolts lift out.
I suggest you cut thick gaskets to fit beneath the bar ends above the fenders when you reassemble it. Other wise the bar could crack off the fender paint.

Just do it . I was concerned to but most fenders are prepainted before assembly . A little chipping on the bolt heads are normal and can be re painted.

Any time I don't want paint chipping, I take an X-Acto knife/razor and go around the edge of the part being removed.

Its not possible without removing the lightbar
Because of the starter handle (in dutch “de slinger”)
After taking out the bar it is not a hard job to take out the engine
If you have an engine lifter..

Thanks for the help. The engine is out in the stand. I used an eye bolt in the second cylinder and a straight bar in place of the crank handle to tilt
the engine some to clear the pedals. It wasn't exactly an easy job but it is doable. Part of the difficulty was separating the Warford from the transmission. The light bar came out pretty easy and, as stated above, with only a little chipping of the bolt heads. Easy to repaint. Glad that part is over!
Never worked with a T with a starter/generator so I may have more questions.
