I've been to all or most of them, so I guess I'd better get ready and go. I had forgotten about it being so soon.

Re: Homecoming
My wife and I are coming with our 26 Tudor for the tour on Thursday and Friday and leaving early Saturday. We’ve never done anything like this and I hear it is a really good time. I’ve only owned a model T for about a year but have been intrigued for years. I could have never imagined this much fun.

You know it’s been years since we have. It’s only about 5 miles east of me. I forget about going the, even though it’s world famous.

Waldo not only has great fried Bologna, but their PIES are worth the drive alone!! Love that little town and that restaurant. Used to have relatives in Prospect, I think they're all gone now.

Re: Homecoming
The weather broke about 930 and the sun came out and dried up all the rain. We gave a lot of T rides to folks and there was a lot of activity at the swap meet. We got to see a lot of old friends and met a few new ones. It was a great day

Re: Homecoming
Because of road construction and weather we were late getting to the museum and missed the tour but still had a great time. Got to hang out with the best people you can ever know and meet some new friends to add to that list. Didn't buy much at the swap meet but didn't need much so we did good. Saw Joe Bell, Dean Yoder, Seamus Hnat, Jeron Takacs, Susan was there even though she retired from the museum and sat with us for a while so I was able to tell her how much she is missed, and so many others I can not name them all. The rain made for a slow start but was gone by about 9:15 Sat. morning and turned into a perfect day for a swap meet. I got to meet several mambers from the St. Louis chapter like Stephen Heatherly, Sam and Cindy Atkinson, and the two father and son santas Jerry and Jerry Jr. (sorry I didnt get a last name but you know who they are if you know them!)
I hope to see more pictures since we left our camera in the truck at the campground and drove my wifes new 1927 touring to the museum. I saw the first picture posted was her car and saw people pose in front of it so maybe the pictures will show up here for her and all to enjoy. In case you don't know which one it was here is a copy of one picture posted in this thread already.
We got to use the side curtains for the second time since we have owned it about 2 months now.

Re: Homecoming
Five T’s left Shannon, Ohio about 9:00 on Saturday after miserable rain on Friday night and Saturday morning. The farther north we got, the better the weather became. By the time we reached Richmond, the sun was out and nice and warm. Quite a few vendors we there selling old and new. I had not been to Richmond in several years. Big improvements at the museum and the entire Ford area. Too bad the weather kept the crowd away, but still some locals were in attendance. I think there were 20 some cars registered after being driven in. I would have thought a number of 100 would have been there but the weather held everyone at home I guess.
Congrats to everyone there for doing a bang up job. We had a great time!

Re: Homecoming
The photo of the "1909" is a well known "look-a-like" that has been featured on this site several years ago. A nice, good looking auto.. You should have posted another full photo of this T.

Re: Homecoming
The chassis is also later. The former post on this vehicle notes that it is a look-a-like reproduction, There few if any actual original 1909 parts on this T. A very nice "parade and tour T"

Re: Homecoming
The 09 Runabout is a fine piece of workmanship, all detail work looks professionally done, with little evidence of any road wear. The owners asking price is well in line with the cost of putting a piece like this together. The interior and wool lined top are especially well done. A drivable, show worthy car, where most spectators could care less if it has later parts. Not sure who won the people's choice vote, but this one was my favorite.

Scott

Re: Homecoming
Scott, my choice would have been a nice looking 1912 Town car that was inside the museum! Very well done car.

Re: Homecoming
Thank you for the kind compliment Bob...
It was good seeing you there. Wish we could have gotten to Richmond sooner, and enjoyed more socializing. We got a ton of rain in Cincy, that didn't let up until 10:00. We held up on loading the car on the trailer, thinking that 90% precip in Richmond had signaled a non-starter.
Ragards,
Scott
