Spotted this 1915 Towncar listed for sale on Prewar.com. Several good photos with the ad. Interesting and seldom seen.

It would be great to get it back into the USA again! Not too many originals around!

Anyone know the history on it? I always thought a lot of them were actually built in Europe as they were popular as taxis.

A few years ago I took my trailer to Richmond Museum to fetch a 23(?) Towncar that started in England, right hand drive and all that rot! Pip pip.
So at least ONE made it back from Europe. As I recall Jay Clayfoth owned it prior to my friend Russ buying it.

What are the three vertical lines on the rear body panel?

Looks like some kind of brass attachments but Lord only knows what for. And maybe the Queen Mum knows!

This beauty is $45,000. plus shipping and import duty and, and, and, but you guys thought mine was too expensive when I posted it for sale and pulled your nose at it. That is the right price and unfortunately it will end up staying in Europe.
I am actually happy I decided to keep mine and found room in my garage by repositioning the T’s. Here is what you all missed out on. Frank
