I just got an Aluminum Warford 3 speed in pieces. It came with two different rear locking thrust nuts, one is just a little bigger then the other. Both just drop in. The threads on the nuts are good, not so much in the case. Any non arm and leg ideas how to fix it? Except for one over sized hole for the cover/gear shift the case look ok, but have not check where the bearing for in and out shafts need to go.

Mark,
You can do an outside set screw in multiple locations once you determine the thrust set. I have set them that way with shim stock, remove shim stock before final assembly, use some gasket maker ultra gray on final assembly. You want at least 5/16" set screws in four locations.
Hope this Helps,
Hank
