I bet if you contact Tim , he can answer your questions. 4 qts should be full. Its a little over full on mine.

Perhaps there is air trapped in the system. You may have to bleed it out.

Re: Installing Rajo oil level indicator
When I installed mine, I left the upper petcock open and let the excess bleed off.

Re: Installing Rajo oil level indicator
I have found that four quarts fills mine right to the top petcock. I have also found that engine oil leakage and consumption is virtually zero. I don't even check the oil level between changes (it leaks enough rear axle oil to make up for it).
BYW: Does anyone know where I can purchase 600W gear oil? None of the local auto parts stores seem to have it, and I am not paying $12.50 to ship a quart of oil.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Re: Installing Rajo oil level indicator
The problem with the Rajo oil indicator was just air trapped, everything working fine... nice quality accessory. Thanks John

I always get "hey what is that" when I lift the right hood side and guys are checking out the engine. I love it and the day/night tank guage as well.

Re: Installing Rajo oil level indicator
Never did see a Ranjo oil indictor but someone installed a dip stick on my 1915 Touring car. It goes to the lower engine oil plug and comes out at the top of the firewall on the right side under the hood. Works great but it has a modern T plastic handle that I want to chance for a simple metal loop to pull on.
