Bob was an amazing guy. I'm glad I had the chance to tell him that in person.

Ed, thank you for posting and letting us know.
I never met Bob in person but did spend a lot of time on the phone with him.
When i needed parts for an action twins mascot, Bob sold me the parts and walked me
through the rebuild. He was a a great teacher (I believe his former profession).
Not only was he a great craftsman but he gave much back to the community.
Most times I talked to him he was doing some castings for a fire department somewhere.
Rest In Peace, Bob, my friend...........Harry Lillo

Last I talked to him was 2019 Hershey and at that time he said he wasn't well. As was said above a real craftsman and he will be missed. Jim

Some of his art.

Bob also reproduced the Allen HCCTs.
He provided many parts to HCCT restorers.
He will be missed.

I enjoyed speaking with Bob several times at Hershey and checking out his parts that he made at his vendor space.

He was always easy to talk to and an excellent craftsman.

Condolences to his friends and family.

He was a true gentleman. Helpful and talented. Terrific loss for his family and our hobby. Thanks, Bob. You were a great help and a pleasure to talk with.

Those of you that knew Bob, share some stories for those of us that didn't.
There isn't a single Model T person that isn't a tad eccentric (or they would
not have a T in the first place !), and it is often a delight to hear about others
and their interests/specialities that endeared them to those who knew them. 👍
More people are doing it today than ever before !

Burger, I'll agree with you that old car people are weird. But Bob was the exact opposite of eccentric. Everything he did, was deliberate, and well planned. If everyone had half of his common sense and wisdom, the streets would be paved with gold. Here's how he rode to his final resting place. In a vehicle that he built, piloted by a man with tremendous respect and admiration for him. He did play one final trick on us, but Don Booth supplied me with four of his rebuilt coils, and the old truck is running like new. What an experience.

John Grundas's wife Amy made the artwork for the doors of the TT. John has remained very close friends with Bob, and was fortunate to buy the truck. It was one of the educational projects in Bob's classroom when John was a student. Bob's ceremony was a day that I will always remember.

So sorry to read this. Bob was a nice guy. I've spoken with him many times and always enjoyed our conversations. I have some of his handicraft on my speedster. It will be a reminder of him. May his soul rest in peace.
