Did anyone see the latest episode of Chasing Classic Cars concerning the Model T and A cars and parts that came to light? I just caught part of it while flipping the channels a couple of nights ago. There were a load of T parts and what looked like a 17-18 T commercial Truck that Wayne Carine was going to get going for the family. It was in great original condition. He was contacted by the family for information what to do with all the cars and parts.
I guess it shows that T stash’s are still out there waiting to come to light.
Maybe this has been on before but it did say this was a 2121 episode.

Yes, very interesting! It didn't take much for them to get the T running again. I wish they had provided closure on what happened to all of the Model A stuff, all he did was buy a few vintage signs from the sellers.

I subscribe to the Motor Trend Channel on line and "Chasing Classic Cars" is one of their many available series.

The show I think you saw was from Chasing Classic Cars Season 17 Episode3, Aired Wed 8/4/2021 "Live By The Ford, Buy By The Ford"
"... Wayne visits two families connected by their love for Fords. First, Wayne unearths a Model T delivery truck that’s been in single family ownership for over 100 years. And then, he’s off to help two sisters explore an extensive collection of rare signs, automobilia, and original Ford parts all stored in a collapsed barn.
It appears that the renewal of the series is on & off again since the old mechanic, Roger, was injured in 2017. The next regular airing that I could find is for Wed 8/11/2021 Revved Up Like A Deuce Season 17: Episode 4
Not all Seasons & Episodes are available on-line yet

Motor Trend Channel should have the most recent (lots of commercials) https://watch.motortrend.com/tv-shows/c ... ssic-cars/

Wayne Carini states he found the truck, however, the same truck and parts stash was already found and picked over on a episode of American Pickers a while back.

If I remember from what I saw the family wanted to ask Carini about how to disperse of what they had. The owner had died and had collected lots of parts from old cars. What I did see were boxes of triple gears that looked like NOS. The family didn’t know what to do with the excess bunches of parts they had. The Pickers aren’t to interested in T parts so I guess the majority of stuff was still there. I didn’t know the Pickers had looked over it. I hope all the parts doesn’t go to scrap. Surely some T folks have checked it out by now but you never know for sure! Word usually gets around when large amounts of old cars and parts ‘get found’ .

I watched them put new plastic coils in the Coilbox to get it running, are they any good or just a problem waiting to happen?

Ed, I'd have to say my experience with them is good, about 10 years in my long distance touring T.

I am new two the hobby and about two years ago I bought two model ts. I didn't understand Mr. Carrini always cranking with his right hand, not using a battery to get the old girl running and when he tried to pull the truck to start it, had the strap on the front axle. I'm just saying that almost every thing he did went against everything I've been taught by the T experts in my area.

I didn't see the T show on Chasing Classic Cars. I used to watch it regularly, but it reached the point where every show was a repeat. I honestly thought that they had stopped filming new episodes and had given up on it

I posted this thread and I didn’t know either that Chasing classic cars was still on. I’m in Texas and some car rebuild shows went off the air and I thought this one did to. What was sort of funny was when Wayne Carinis mechanics were trying to remove the rock hard tires off the rims and installing new ones. They didn’t use spoons to pry on the new tires but large screwdrivers. Not what I would do but they got it done I guess. I think I did that way back when years ago.
