I have 2 tapered rear leaf springs, one is apart and I don’t know if it all goes together.
The main leaf shows signs of a square leaf had been riding on it, so it probably isn’t correct. It measures 34.5”X 2”
The rest seem to line up, but not sure about the curled one.
I have to get a picture of the other one yet, but it looks correct.
How many leaves were used on a rear tapered leaf spring ? And does anyone have the sizes of each leaf ?

The second leaf in a tapered leaf spring is not tapered. Reproduction tapered leaf rear springs are advertised as 8 leaf. The '27 Ford parts list lists a 9th leaf for 1922-1927 only.

Dave, the next leaf above the main one is somewhat tapered in thickness but is chopped off rather than rounded like the rest, so the imprint you are seeing is correct. When assembling the leaves you may find them not nesting very well against one another. If this happens, rotate the leaf end for end and try again. The bends are not necessarily an exact mirror fit from one side to the next.

Tapered leaf rear springs were used through 1918. They never made a 9 leaf version. When assembling you must fit each leaf to the next to get the proper fit. If you are attempting to assemble parts from two different springs, good luck. You will likely have gaps between some of the leafs.

Thanks for the input everyone. I have yet to find a square leaf to match. Maybe someone could use it for parts ?
I think the other spring is something else, only 6 leaves and the eyes are too small.

On a closer look, the main leaf does not look like it belongs to the rest of the leaves. The two outboard bends are way more shallow than those on the tapered leaves. The wear mark you are seeing is most likely from an ordinary chopped leaf. There is one leaf missing on top. That one has just the main curve over the top of the pack. The rest look OK if they nest well. It is a spring maker"s job to make a main leaf to match what you have.
