I need some help figuring out how to mount the gas tank located under the driver's seat on my '21 Center Door. Does it sit on top of the floorboards and be held in place by the driver's seat and if so how is it bonded to the car's frame? I can't find any photos online or an explanation on how it is attached? If you can post some pictures that would be a great help! Thanks...

In my 20 it’s held in place by the seat. Pretty tight fit no room for hold down brackets.

+1 Held in place by the seat frame. When I removed the driver's seat in ours, it all came out as one piece. Haven't taken it apart yet to see how it's secured in the seat frame.

How (or is it) bonded metallically to the frame or is it isolated? Seems like a risk of static discharge without an electrical/mechanical bond to the car's frame.

Jamie, it’s not attached to the frame at all. As previously mentioned, it’s captured inside the drivers seat.

It would be grounded through the supply pipe that feeds the carb. If worried about grounding and using rubber connections, you could mount a ground between the seat frame and floor mounting screws, then running it to the frame somewhere.
You are not just sitting on the gas tank directly, there is a carpeted surround that mounts to the floor that the gas tank sits in. Do a search of "mtfca.com; center door gas tank".
