Post your 2021 Hershey Swap Spaces Here!

Post by CudaMan » Fri Aug 20, 2021 11:09 am

Starting this thread a little early due to the pent-up anticipation of returning to Hershey in 2021.

Please post your swap spaces in this thread, along with a short summary of the goodies you will be offering. Thanks! :)

I contacted MTFCA and they confirmed that they will be there, but they didn't know what field or spaces they would be in (yet). :)

I'll be in the Chocolate Field, Row: CG : 77-74 (spaces). Along with other things we may bring, I will have the rear fenders pictured for sale, as well as a cool Weaver Ray-O-Scope headlight alignment tool complete with copy of the original instruction manual. This is the first iteration of the Ray-O-Scope and the most stylish in my opinion! Would like both to find new homes.

I am looking for two decent non-split rim, wooden T wheels with steel felloes to go on a cart built from a Model T rear. to be clear, need the 23" outside diameter felloes with wood spokes (about 7" Long) and hubs for the 30x3-1/2 tires. Would like them to be solid, but don't have to be perfect.

What I believe to be... A pair of 1924/25 Coupe rear Fenders. They are clean, strait, and older (original?) paint. Some surface rust, no pitting. Have not had body work done to them. Honest 'original' ford steel. Brackets are installed. Have crown to them. What you see in the photos is what I have. Check them out at Hershey and see if they are what you need!

GBC 32-34. Will have most of my line of over 200 reproduction Model T and horseless carriage parts on hand. Rewound field coils, rebuilt early T and pre-T coils, parts for same. Stop by and drop off your coil and field coil cores; save a pile of shipping costs. New item this year: T rear lifting hooks as made back in the day for Model T service. Photos soon. Will also have some nice and a few not so nice original items. My brother will be setting up next to me with his line of T body and top wood, floorboards, etc.

Is it appropriate to arrive in a T to the meet and greet?

Is it appropriate to arrive in a T to the meet and greet?
Well, they don't encourage people driving around the Swap Meet, but some people do it. Refer to the link above for the 2018 Meet and Greet, and you'll see where Rob Heyen drove his '07 Model N in for our little event, and Seamus Hnat drove in earlier also. I have a pass to drive my T in, but I come early, leave late & leave it parked all day.
I can't guarantee that there will be room to park on our MTFCA site, but you might be able to park right in the aisle but just briefly. There is lots of foot traffic down our aisle making it quite inconvenient if trying to drive around. Try it if you like, but beware of the congestion and risk.
The traffic does thin out later in the day and it's less congested. That's why we have the Meet and Greet at 3 PM.
Hope this helps...

Makes sense Keith. Was thinking later in the day may be ok, but yes, you guys are in a more congested area of the fields. I'm over in CG and the aisles are wide and tend to get less congested after the peak times of the day.

We are in C4N 30-33, very close to the MTFCA spaces - C4Q 34-37. Stop by and visit for a while, we will have replacement ignition parts for all the aftermarket clip on distributors for the model T. Also available will be distributor caps, rotors, point sets, brushes etc for most makes and models of autos from 1910 to 1960.

We'll be at RSE 20-22, behind the old stadium. We'll have a random assortment of early stuff, including a pair of 1922 one-piece spindles, and 1911-12 clamshell rear housings and two-piece driveshaft. The housings and driveshaft need some rivets replaced, and are priced accordingly. See you there!
