Great photos Bob. look good on the front page of vintage Ford and Model T times. Good job! Your car helped make the day promoting the model T and made the day extra special. icing on the cake. might be some footage on local TV channel news if they covered 4014s arrival.

It’s hard to see how big the engine is, the roadster was about 20 feet in front of it.

When the Union Pacific Railway decided to restore a "Big Boy" locomotive, they originally chose an example that was on display in, if I remember correctly, Texas. That example was later abandoned due to the fact that the railroad bridges between Texas and the U.P. shops in Wyoming wouldn't bear the weight of a Big Boy.
Instead, the 4014 was chosen because the route between Pomona California and the Wyoming shops were much more stout. In addition to the fact that the 4014 was in remarkably good condition.
The 4014 was one of the largest steam locomotive engines ever produced in the United States. I remember seeing it on display at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds in Pomona back in the late 70s. It was quite the sight to see. I'm glad to see that it's back under it's own power.
