This is a collection in the California desert. All I can say, is that they're all in very dry storage and some day there will be a huge additional supply of cars going back into circulation. And lots of purple glass in the making for Burger.
Kinda brings tears to my eyes.

Been there on a tour. It is located on the California side of the state line across the river from Yuma, Arizona. Good for a winter or early spring tour, but VERY hot this time of year. They have the best cars inside the building and the others outside.

It really is quite a place.
Years ago, I was working at Yuma Proving Grounds supporting M119A Digitization program and was there for weeks on end (in July!). I happened to mention that I was an old car guy and was looking for ANYTHING to do on the weekends and I was introduced to the head civilian Crew Chief in the maintenance pool, a guy named "Red". He insisted on my going there and gave me Johnny's personal number. Neither of us knew he was on his honeymoon at the time but after a couple of weeks he listened to my recorded message and invited me to a private tour. What a delight! He's an interesting and very cordial guy who gave us the rundown on nearly every vehicle inside the buildings as well as a number of "newer" items outside. One shed was FULL of speedometers and the dusty soil/floor had parts of cables and chain pieces literally boiling up out of the dirt if you were to scuff your foot too hard. It's just a remarkable place and I was fortunate and honored to have spent so much time getting the personal tour that I did.
You will not regret stopping in when it is open.

Jonny Clouds place. He works on making them all run almost daily. You couldn’t meet a nicer person if you tried.

I want to know the backstory on this place, and this guy, and how he amassed so many cars.
