I know what the springs are for, but what is this piece in the middle of the axle for ?
Looks like a pretty good axle, but it’s is bent a little in the middle.

Also what are these smaller springs for ?

My guess would be for the attachment of a snubbed. Hassler and I believe Gaberial made snubber that mounted on the front.spring clamp. K
