I have to cut and weld model A and model T rods together. Where is the best place to do it Near the big end or small end or in the middle.

I'm not sure it would matter. What are you building?

A friend bought 2 bumac cranks from snyders but when they arrived the journals were model a size. I have line bored the block and rebabitted and burned to suit. You used to be able to get egge pistons to suit but not now I believe. Therefore I need to cut the model a rods and weld on part of a t rod to get the right t Gurgaon end and thr right length. I think Les Schubert has done this before but I don't know how to get in touch with him.

I believe that Scat makes a rod that is model A on the big end and model T on the small end. I will look thru my notes to verify.
