I'm interested in getting an extra set of good working coils for my 22. I figure this way, I can get my current set sorted out and still be able to drive the car. Am I wrong in thinking some owners keep a spare set? Where is the best deal on coils?

I have an extra set and I keep them with my ECCT. You can get sets from Brent Mize, Ron Patterson, Andy Loso, and Luke Chennell(sp).

John, I find an old friend Mike in Eden Valley, MN does coils too.
Some folks keep one extra coil for the just in cases but you aren't crazy in wishing for a set of four HOT coils.

Coils are in, carb was dry, got fuel flowing again and I'm not getting a PEEP out of her. I'm sweating my nuggets off but the car won't even HINT at starting. Gonna try once more and then it's shower time and beer o'clock.

Choked it for about 10 pulls, had my daughter in the car ready to advance timing if it fired and sure enough, when I cranked the handle through at least two compression strokes, it started. Ran really rough until I turned the mixture adjustment clockwise almost two turns. Let me see if I can post the clip of it running...

I was on the way to our 4th of July parade when a coil failed (100 year old poor solder joint.) Pulled a spare from under the seat and was on my way. I keep two spares in the car....one for me, one in case someone else needs one... I bought my spares from Ron Patterson.
