Was it replaced because of an issue with it? I hope you will find it but after many years and without more information it won’t be easy.

I’m not sure why it was removed or exactly when other than it was while the car was in Illinois. Hopefully I can get some more information later today.

Give me a couple days and I bet I will find it in one of my buildings.

If I’m correct, 4321900 would have been built the first part of the last week of August of 1920. The casting number would most likely be last week of July through first two weeks of August. If you can’t find the exact stamped number, maybe you could find a proper casting date. I’ve been told of blocks that were set up in a Bridgeport mill, and well - - had the area where the water inlet attaches resurfaced, thus losing the number and the number being re-stamped. Sometimes it’s necessary to do what you do in the preservation of these old cars. I’ll look tomorrow for a proper casting number.

Thanks Bob, it’s something to consider. Aug 30th is what it comes out to. I actually have 2 engines that I was going to use as alternates.
One is an April 1920 and the other is a Dec 1920 (1921 model year).
The engine in the car now is a 1924. It runs great but has a whole bunch of jb cold weld under the front cylinders on the drivers side where they typically freeze crack. It doesn’t leak and it was like that when I bought the car 25 years ago. So I’m planning to swap everything over to a ‘20 block when I do the rebuild.
