Nothing explores forgotten backroads like a pre-1930 vehicle. My
personal needs preclude the car option, as I also need to haul a lot
lot of heavy stuff. The TT's are good for that too.
This "State Road" was bypassed in the 30's. but was once the major
thoroughfare through the area.
Another early road, bypassed for a new route in the next valley
over, that did not require climbing over this grade.
1920's alignment of US 2, just west of Fecklersburg.
Loading firewood on a grey fall day, before the rains came to
reverse my summer of getting the wood good and dry.
The TT won't haul enormously long lumber loads like my modern,
but it can take 4x the weight. This day we had a pallet of concrete
and other assorted forming bits going out to a job. This always has
people watching in disbelief that anyone still uses a truck this old
as a truck.
