Summary asked to help with an inherited Model T ( not mine)
Model T steering column LACKS / MISSING the attachments to attach to control rods for carburetor and distributor ONE attachment is there but it is up a few inches from the firewall !
So my question is " is there an after market piece I may purchase to replace the missing attachment points
I will check with Texas T to see if they sell attachment kit for distributor
To set timing say 2 degrees before top dead center on the distributor and keep it there from turning so I can get the engine running I am thinking of either securing the distributor base with a
1. spot of silicone
2. drill a small hole at base and put in a set screws or
3. make a small shaped wooden block to glue to the base of the distributor and block
THIS is why I do not like folks adding distributors vs the original design It just seems to complicate life The original system is so simple and easy to work with
any temporary fixes appreciated

Langs sells a bolt on lever #6297 that might help you.
