The barbershop tour.... the boys made as many as eight shops in a single day's travel ... hot towel, Lucky Tiger, brush out, then a cupful of Butch Wax and a professional slick-down!

Two snaps and a twist! A Saturday night live thing I think. Not the picture but the first thing that came to mind! Great picture!

Re: OLD PHOTO - Pronoun Twins
Upper left corner of the top seems to read, "Our stop light don't work. If yours does don't tell anybody."
As far as intended humor goes, what am I missing here???

Jerry, I don't get the joke either, but good eyes! I couldn't make out what it said past the first line.

Englewood Radio Shop does not appear to be in Englewood, bit I cannot read it well enough to determine where it is now.

Re: OLD PHOTO - Pronoun Twins
Those fellows look so much like the young men in Mom's old photo books and school annuals. Great stuff.
I couldn't find a Radio Shop in Englewood Ill but found this "truck is carrying a portable radio station for WJAZ. It was used by Zenith Radio Corporation to test sites around the city for the eventual placement of a permanent radio transmitter for the station." The license plate on the T is Illinios and 1926 or earlier.
I see the address as 6647 ?????sted St - West 1183. Someone from there might have a clue.
Fun to see these photos.

Possibly Halstead Street, in Chicago. Englewood is a neighborhood in Chicago. I wonder if West 1183 is the phone number. Looks like a pretty new car in 1926.

Re: OLD PHOTO - Pronoun Twins
What I like about that photo is the top. There are so many 22-24 cars, where the owners have neglected to research the proper size and spacing of the two rear windows. Ford called them lights.

Wager that those guys had many folks riding up along side shouting out to them" Your stop light don't work!" that it got their goat.
So the riddle......as an opposite comment. Those who had a stop light , shouldn't ride along and shout out theirs worked!
