buying from Chaffins Garage
A few weeks ago I contact Chaffins garage for buying a Gas Head lamp Door Victor#2 and Corcoran 8.13/16 ID HLD-3 , the wood Band lining for 1909/25 model T.
I get a mail back that they had all available. In return I send them a mail to ask how the payment can be done (no Paypal available) since than I have no more contact with them.
Can someone help me with buying from them.
The part I needed most is the Gas Head lamp door.
Thanks
Andre

Andre,
The U.S. Mail is very screwed up right now and all deliveries are delayed or slower then normal so Chaffins may not have received your letters yet.
Try sending them a message through this forum using the private message system.

Re: buying from Chaffins Garage
Like all our other "top vendors", they'll take good care of you. They're on the opposite side of the country from me, and I've had great help from them also, when those on "my side" were out of stock. Mark's a great guy. Keep trying. I'd give you his phone number, but the fee would cost more than the parts if you'd call them! Plus, it's on google anyway. Like others said, the mail is well, I can't use the description here that I'd like to!!!

Re: buying from Chaffins Garage
Andre. I will follow up with Dave regarding your order. Recently, we have had several foreign orders returned to use by the USPO stating undeliverable due to Covid? Thank you for your patience.

Re: buying from Chaffins Garage
Thanks All.
Mark, USPS used and is still using COVID as a cheap exuse. In the last two year I had some bad surprices with them and our local Bpost.
Parts never arrived and as they arrived there was always a more price of minimum €30,- ($35.-) for handeling and sending the parts from Brussels to my place (35 miles) this do not included the local and income taxes. Waiting time two to four weeks
At the start USPS is the cheapest at the end they are not and the waiting time is a lot longer.
For me FEDEX is the best in price and service.
I will send you a mail this evening about the parts I would like to order.
