Is there adjustment to fix this?

I have just pulled the engine apart. I never turned it over when I got the car as u didn't know the condition of the engine. I have pulled the pistons out and when I rotate the crankshaft the camshaft seems to touch the bearings. What do I need to do to adjust the backlash if that's what the problem is?

Here is a video of it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards.

If that is really the camshaft touching the bearings, your main bearings are way out of line or you have the wrong crankshaft.
Can't sure from the pictures. Could be a noise in the timing gears right at that moment?

If you watch the video closely you can see the lobe touch the bearing and the bearing moves towards the gear.

That's an early cam that needs the long front bearing with the notch in it. There are two different front bearings and they are not interchangeable.
