Nice stuff! Colorizing does seem to add some dimension and freshness to the images. A different and perhaps improved window into the past.

Motor in front? How peculiar!

Another NRS with tourabout after market body.

The first display Model N at the New York show in 1906. The first NRS prototypes appear to have had the timer on the front of the motor off the camshaft (as they should have remained):

1908 Ford 6-40 Model K Roadster configured as a tourabout. This car raced a Stoddard Dayton from Oklahoma City to Kansas City, winning by a few hours. A Wichita KS to K.C. MO record was also made. Here the car is seen at the Ford Branch Store in Kansas City after the run:

That is a model A I would like to have. Interesting garage art as well!

That's definitely a first generation Man Cave. Maybe the first one ever?? Great car, all those girls, liquor, and a huge Teddy Roosevelt poster... I'd guess this guy was a rough rider, so to speak.

One of the most photographed Model K in history was featured in newspapers after the "official" tenure of the "K" (1906 - 1908). This Model K was owned by the Ford N.Y. Branch. I find it interesting that Henry Ford and the O2O planners chose a Model K to Pilot the racers to St. Louis (June, 1909). The driver was a Ford agent, and the "Judge" an officer in the AAA. The Ocean to Ocean "Pathfinder" was none other than the winner of the 1908 New York to Paris Thomas Flyer from the year before.

Those pictures of the 1906 Model K after the race in Florida where it had "vanquished" the Cadillac shows a pretty hefty list to the port bow. The poor Caddie must look even worse . . .

Thanks for those additional details. The Ford looks to have a special exhaust system as well as the stripping and extra water. I wionder if the car was sold afterwards as a used car. Perhaps being the victor in the famous context raised its value on the market.

Rob and Wayne, I was taken with that Man Cave garage. Every square inch was pasted with modest photos of young women… except for two photos of Theodore Roosevelt, a portrait and one on horseback charging up a hill.

I am most taken with the gorgeous model A!

If I have one word of advice to the owner of this car: don’t show your garage or gallery to a young woman friend! On second thought do… if she only sees the beautiful automobile then she’s the one for you!
