Has onyone found an online store that sells the glass tape at a reasonable price and will ship to Australia? I just can't afford a new magneto at the moment on top of everything else.
Thanks guys.

Re: Glass tape
Might start by doing a search "mtfca rebuilding magneto" There have been recent post that should have companies and suggestions for getting the tape.
Also so, edit your title. When I saw it, was thinking glass setting tape, not wrapping the coils on the magneto. That should help get more views. Click on the pencil, that will open the edit window.

I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Re: Glass tape
I don’t know how much your tape is broken? If it’s some magneto, you could use transparent epoxy as well. I did Personally To fixe an issue with 2 round magneto and it’s work properly.

It's pretty bad. I don't think I would trust it.

I did a search on Scotch 27 tape in AU and found a supplier of Glass Tape in AU. However , their web site may have an issue so contact via email sales@embossingtapesupplies.com.au

Re: Glass tape
Shawn,
You don't need glass tape for bobbin plate repairs, I have repaired many > 30 volt AC Model T bobbin plates and rewound and taped thousands of >240 volt AC coils using linen tape. The important item is the insulating varnish used to secure the coils from vibrating. Where are you in VIC ? Send it over the boarder and I will fix it for you ......n
