New Car Warranted on Model T.

Post by Been Here Before » Fri Oct 22, 2021 10:47 am

New Car Warranted on Model T.

The telephone rang today and I got the dreaded message.
“Hello.”
“Hello, I am calling about your expired automobile warranty.”
“Excuse me, my expired automobile warranty?”
“Yes, we have information that you own a Tesla Model T.”
“Are you certain you have the correct party?”
“Why yes. We were supplied with computer transaction from both the DMV and your credit card provider that you have a 2022 Tesla Model T and your credit card transactions indicate that you recently ordered parts for service.”
“Ok, this is from information a computer provided?
“Yes Sir! Would you like us to extend the warranty on your Model T?”
“Ok. Why not. This protection provides full protection on my Model T, ah Tesla.”
“Yes sir it does!”
Thanks to modern technology and a computer foul up, I now have Warranty with full coverage on my 1922 Model T. I understand that the founder of Tesla has a Model T in his collection. I wonder if there may be a data breach?

A very official-sounding lady informed me by telephone message that I am to contact her regarding resolving my tax debt. I have yet to hear from the IRS....

I am assuming that the OP is tongue in cheek. I sure hope so.

"Officer Roberts" from "Social Security" has also been attempting to contact me about the impending cut off of "my check". I have yet to hear from the Social Security Administration.

Several very concerned persons have attempted to contact me via telephone about "my exploding credit card debt." They're eager to help, it seems. I have no credit cards. Never have had any, and do not want any.

The first question I would ask is, "How do you cave access to my credit card transactions?" That could be an interesting conversation.

Isn't it comforting to know there are so many people out there trying to help us with our lives and welfare. Where else but on planet earth?
When did I do that?

I have had several warrants for my arrest which I found out about from phone calls, but after I hang up, so far, I have not been arrested. I also get calls from my grandson who is in Jail in another state and needs bail money. I ask him which grandson he is and he says, "don't you recognize my voice?" I ask if it is Mark or Mike? He says Mike. Then I tell him I don't have a grandson by that name and hang up.
I haven't had them say Model T Tesla, but I have had them say my warranty has expired and I should renew. I tell them I have a 22 Model T Ford, and they hang up!

I once had an actual human voice call and tell me my computer was infected and offered a cure. I said sure, but was required to notify him his call was being monitored for quality assurance purposes. He called me a common two syllable word and hung up! (Off-topic post, sorry)

Robo call for the extended warranty. I opted in, feller asks "Make and model ?" I respond "Ford". He asks again, "Model ?" I responded "T". He sez, "T ?!?" Me: "yup " he asks, year ? I sez, "1913". He sez, "Oh, I'm sorry. That isn't eligible. Do you have another vehicle that might qualify ?" I sez, "Nope. Only car I got. Hey, I'm riding a horse right now. (I really was) What do you mean My car don't qualify ? You called ME ! If there's an extended warranty, I want it !". He sez," I'm awfully sorry sir. I can't help you. " He hung up. I haven't had an "extended warranty" call since. That was last March.
"Get a horse !"

I have a call regarding extended warranty on my 2002 Tundra almost on a daily basis from just about every state in the union. It shows up on my cell phone when they call.Yesterday it was from Ontario Canada. I totaled my tundra seven years ago but they still want to warranty it. Interesting but scary at the same time. How is it that they are able to obtain records of everything about you but you can’t get it yourself if you try. The whole degenerate system from the top down needs to be put back to where we started from.

It seems to me that making recurring payments to persons unknown to "avoid risk" related to everything from your coffeepot to your toilet seat is a risky thing to do. It's certain you'll pay, and very uncertain whether you'll ever benefit.

Perhaps they have a hearing disorder, pronunciation problem, can't hear over the other telemarketers, or a typo that is causing their confusion  .
The TESLA MODEL 3 not the TESLA MODEL Three :?

or a bad day getting to work - that's an intersection all going the same way, not a parking lot for vehicles waiting to be auctioned off

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Oh, a Tesla Model Three (3), not a Tesla Model T!
