Old Photo - Some Hard Use at Bryce Canyon
During a recent trip to Bryce Canyon in Utah we stopped by Ruby's just outside the park. There on the wall was this gorgeous photo of what appears to be either a Model T station wagon or TT that has seen some hard use carrying sightseers into the canyon a few miles away back in 1923. Perhaps some of you have been there and spotted this picture but I could not resist sharing it with the Forum folks. Enjoy [/b][/size]

From what's visible of the rear wheel, that hack body appears to be mounted on a passenger car chassis. Poor T ! Sure has taken a beating in that service, but look how happy those folks are ! Well worth it !!

Unless it is just the odd angle of the photographer the left front wheel looks way out alignment.

Unusual for a picture that old! The people actually smiled! That was also quite high altitude. It must have some auxiliary gearing to carry that load up some of the grades.

Yes, 1923 was the only year the angled Utah appeared on the left side of the license plate (White on Red). I see the wishbone above the front axle making the car making the Hack at least 5 years old.
In 1925 10 GMC and 10 White buses were introduced into Bryce according to MOTOR COACH AGE magazine Feb. 1970.
Those Fords pulled a lot of weight in their day between TTs and the different car bodies.
We hauled a bit over 2 tons of sand in the old Ccab 5 miles for our son's sand box. That was enough for me. Photo taken from 16mm movie film 1985.

When did I do that?
