Need Closed Cab TT Door Latch Help!

Has anyone successfully replaced the springs in a set of closed cab TT door latches. My passenger side latch broke a spring. I really don’t want to break the welds apart. Any bright ideas? What springs are compatible? What’s the best way to hold it in place? I did the driver side a few months ago but really don’t like the finished product. It works but doesn’t look the best.
