On EBAY, now, is a set of T connecting rods which are advertised as "late 1927". I have a set of the late 27 'diamond' or 'star' shaped beam rods that are used with the late 27, so called 'tin can' pistons with floating wrist pins. I thought these were the only rods used with the late pistons, but I may be wrong. The late 27 rods on EBAY look like normal light weight T rods except the wrist pin end is fully enclosed with a brass bushing; not split with a bolt to tighten against the wrist pin. Also, the rod caps do not have the cast in dippers that the 'diamond' or 'star' beam rods, do. Has anyone ever seem a set of rods like these on EBAY?

I have never saw a set like those before, my guess they are not T's but for something else.

Joe, I went back and took a second look, and nowhere on the beam is there Ford script or a part number beginning with T- ? I think they might be aftermarket. There was a lot of aftermarket stuff made for T's.

Your description is like the Model A rods. I am not familiar with any like that on a T. If they are the correct length and size bearing, they might work on a T but you would also need the right pistons with a lock ring on each end of the wrist pin.

I saw those too, not Model A, no dipper on the big end, and journal end is too small.
