After a couple of years of slumber, my T has (been) awakened and today participated in the St. Louis Veterans' Day Parade with other members of the Model T Ford Club of Greater St. Louis. My girlfriend, Jane, is visiting from New York and we invited my grandchildren, Alex and Sofia, to join us, which they did. Four Model Ts met in the western part of St. Louis County at 8:30 this morning and we drove downtown together where we joined up with one car already there.

We lined up on Olive Street in front of the Public Library.

Sam Atkinson, our club's Veterans' Day parade chairman, and the one who organized today's Model T presence in the parade, asked participants who are veterans to put a sign on the car with a summary of their service.

Approaching downtown. No need to say what city we're in....

The parade was followed by a great lunch at a downtown restaurant. A good time was had by all.

One thing I forgot to mention was that each unit in the parade was asked for a blurb that the announcer could read as we passed the reviewing stand. Since it was Veterans' Day, the one Sam wrote included, "Many of these cars were built by returning World War I veterans and are today being driven by proud Vietnam veterans."
