The Arcoona Tablelands are in northern outback South Australia. That model T is a standard bodied Duncan and Fraser roadster. The registration number puts it in the early 1920's. like many Australian built bodies, it has a light fawn canvas top. These are even mentioned in Ford publications of the time, being referred to as Colonial tops.

I forgot to mention the two wooden boxes being utilised as axle supports. These are most likely fuel can boxes. Fuel delivered to country areas was packed in square, four gallon cans, and two such cans were packed into these boxes for transport. The boxes these days are highly collectable, some rarer ones bringing prices in the hundreds of dollars.

In the days, the boxes and the cans were utilised in many ways after the fuel was used. Stacked boxes were a common shelving item. An old milking shed on a friend's farm had walls clad with flattended out cans. The top and bottom of the can was removed and the tin flattened out. In is dairy, the flattened sheets were put through rollers to make corrugated sheets.
