Holly NH idle passage clogged.

Post by bobt » Wed Nov 24, 2021 5:57 am

Hello, My 1926 roadster started running poorly at low speeds and at idle. I have done all the normal stuff and have came to the conclusion that my center drain Holly NH has a clogged idle passage. When I spray Gumout carb cleaner into the first hole of the body, nothing goes through. I have the carb disassembled and the needle valve removed. My research has told me to "drill out the brass plug and use a drill bit to clear the passage" I do all the maintenance on both of my Ts but have never done this task. Also, I would like to buy a nice newly rebuilt bolt on spare Holly NH. I just put a WTB notice in the pasts forum. Thanks, bobt
