What are these items I found in a box of T stuff

Post by dobro1956 » Wed Nov 24, 2021 8:03 pm

Here are some items I found in a box of the Model T Haven auction stuff.
1. The first item is some kind of accessory mount for ???? It swivels at two points and is a tight swivel that is meant to stay where you set it at. Im pretty sure this is part of a model T accessory.

2. An unknown door handle ??

3. The two threaded elbows are alike .

4. An unknown hood/grill ornament

All these were items Mark had in bags, listed as e-bay auctions. But since he closed all the auctions, I have no way to know what they are. or if they are something I need to get in the hands of someone who needs them ...

Thanks for any help and everyone have a nice Thanksgiving.

I believe the radiator cap is for a small series, 1935-1938'ish Packard. It is missing the actual "cap" part on the bottom, meaning this is the decorative top half. This is the standard issue cap, the deluxe or accessory cap would have the more often found Goddess of Speed mascot. Not a very valuable piece as they are available reproduction.

The first item is the arm off a Face-A-Lite glare shield.

Also known as the Doughnut Pusher. :)

Those two things before the Packard bale ornament look like they have hose threads. Something to do with flushing the cooling system?

Ron, Thanks for the ID of the radiator cap/mascot. I knew it looked familiar to me. I used to have a 1936 Packard 120 Jr. Sedan. I guess that old age thing is at work again.

I’m thinking these may be a fitting for a heater line. Goes on the block to hook up the heater hoses :?: On a bit pricier vehicle than a T

I think Dave is right. Those castings look close, but not identical, to the water pipe fitting that bolts to the top of the water pump on my Flanders. My bet is they are the equivalent part for an EMF 30.

The Packard ornament isn't missing anything. The "junior cars" (120, 120B, 120C and 110C) all had the radiator cap under the hood.
