Is there a New KC Warford transmission for TT trucks ??
Their website shows only one product being made. Will it work on cars and trucks both?
Thanks

Like the original Warfords they were intended for truck use. Use in cars was secondary and probably occurs more today than back then.

One consideration when putting a Warford in a passenger T is driveshaft length. Shortening the driveshaft will make the U joint run at more of an angle and will cause the wheelbase to change more with load changes. A TT, having a longer driveshaft, would be less affected. Advantages of the Warford include lack of shift linkage and no increase in unsprung weight.

Aluminum case Warford were for cars only! Under weight loads in the TT they would blow up. Cast iron were for TT but can be used in a car if the input shaft is shimmed or a auxiliary coupling is used. KC Warford’s can handle a TT as long as you do not haul 5 tons.
Hope this Helps,
Hank

For awhile they advertised a truck and speedster version, you might try calling Layne Machine Works, their ad is in the Vintage Ford.

I believe the truck and speedster versions were only of differing ratios to suit the application. The fitting is the same for all.

Give them a call. I have one in my TT but have not put a ton of miles on it. (pun intended) basically under, straight through and overdrive. Those guys are great. Racers too I think.
