Due to the talk with the Doc, it looks like Bob's Antique Auto Parts will be liquidating

Post by FATMAN » Sat Nov 27, 2021 3:25 pm

Doc says time to make some major changes,NOW
I have decided to start a liquidation sale starting in a few weeks, not good news from the doc. so do not want to leave the family in the dark on this, The company is going to be listed for sale at a very reasonable and lowered price for a few weeks, if no sale then I will start the sale, also we have a lot of patterns and match plates that I might split up for some folks to buy and start making some of these parts, the price of the company is a steel for what is here, can be sold with or without the building, it can be bought as the whole company, or Manufacturing with all machines or can be sold with the retail and used parts or retail and used parts can be sold separately, my personal toy collection will also be going up for sale, it has been a pleasure serving all of you for more than sixty two years,
if anyone is serious, please give me a call to talk, 815-633-7244
there are 3 buildings full of T parts
I will post this in the classifieds also
been fun, Bob

I'm the one posting this, but I know I speak for lots of others when I say thanks, Bob, for all you've done for the Model T world for many many years. When I recommend good parts sources to the new folks, I'll miss seeing your name on the list. Wishing you all the best.

Ditto to what Steve said above. First and foremost Bob, I hope what is necessary to effect this life change is not serious. Prayers to you. Second, as all have said, it was a pleasure doing business with you, you and your company will be missed. Selfishly I think I also can speak for others in that we also pray someone picks up your business and manufacturing of ever so necessary parts. This hobby is slowly advancing to the precipice of lack of available parts due to those leaving the business and no one picking it up.

Wishing you well, with good health and many enjoyable years in your T.

Bob's was the first Model T vendor that I purchased from some 25 years ago when I was new to the model T hobby. Great to deal with and will be missed, I will echo above sentiments that this business will be picked up by someone to keep the hobby momentum moving forward. (Well Langs???....)
My best wishes for your personal well being and many thanks for all you have done for the hobby-God Bless you! You are a sower of good seed...

Bob -- Sorry to hear of your negative diagnosis. You have been one of the vendors that we all could depend upon for high-quality parts and excellent service. Good luck with your sale, and with your health going forward.
