Hello All,
I have a complete Kingston B1 gasifier regenerator (the attached picture for reference only off the internet). The pic is not of my exact unit. Actual pictures of mine to follow in a day or so. Mine is complete like in the picture with original carb. Needs cleaning. Not rough or rusty condition. There are no cracks. Any idea of a ballpark fair market price to possibly offer it to an acquaintance. I inherited it from my dad who passed away and the acquaintance is very interested. I appreciate any help. And yes it is the same exact style as seen in the reference pic. Thanks, Andrew

I have run these for years on a 26 roadster and have about 6 of them now. They tend to find me. I paid 125.00 for a nice straight early take off one that you could bolt on an use with new gaskets. I bought a Russ Potter rebuild some years ago for 500.00 and was happy with the price though it was a lot of money at the time. Then I have purchased the odd piece for anywhere from 25-50 bucks. At auctions I like to pay for a complete one 75-150 bucks. They run great not like the Holley Vaporizer. Good luck with your sale. They don’t come up as often as they used to say even 25 years ago you could walk Hershey and maybe see 2 or 3 of them. Now you may see 1 in 2 or 3 years walking Hershey.

I'd think one of those would be a good thing to have in cold weather country.

If you were willing to let it go for what the market would bear; you could list it on EBAY. Naturally, you'll get for it at a swap meet, especially a big one, and if you spend the time to clean it up (externally, at least) it may be worth your time to do so.

I had one of those on a '26 I sold 40 years ago. It was a great carb, the car would do 57 mph all day and get over 20 mpg doing it. I still kick myself for letting it go on the car.
