In the third picture, I wonder what that man was doing? Was that some kind of pipe, or was he blowing on something?

Great pics. Thanks for sharing. It's cool to see our beloved Model Ts in their original state.
These were vehicles that were made to work, and work they did.

That contraption may be a pipe designed for use in a moving automobile. The deep bowl would help keep the fire in the pipe and the long stem would allow keeping the bowl below most drafts. I'd think the stem would load up with condensate, but as long as it was clean, you'd get a mild smoke.

#1 Illinois had a perforated front license plate. I see a Prestolite tank and no headlights.
Fun stuff.

I don't know about the pipe, but that feller converted his '13 roadster with a "form-a-truck" chain drive, and turned his steering wheel to what many folks think is the "right" way
The kids in the tenth picture are happy because they have been forgiven for standing on the side curtains and breaking the isinglass windows !

What I found most interesting is the picture from the rear of that nearly new appearing centerdoor. I was of the opinion that the spare tire carrier was round and without the upper horizontal piece as in the picture.

Most likely the fellow is smoking on a clay pipe in the third picture.

The first photo is very interesting. It is a 1910 model chassis. The front hubs appear to be 5 1/2 inch size which were used 1909-1910 models. The radiator neck is the low one used 1909-10. The front fenders have a lip, which would lead one to say 1910 and not 1909 model. I enjoy viewing early photos of early chaisses.
