Body bolts for 27 Touring
Hi guys,
My painter misplaced my body bolts for my 27 touring.
I’ve searched in vain and cannot determine what size they were.
I’ve used Bruce McCalley’s hardware list and but I still can’t seem to locate the size, thread pitch and nut size.
I been through all of the catalogs too. No luck. Perhaps I’m missing something somewhere.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Brent

Re: Body bolts for 27 Touring
They are 7/16-20, and I believe they are 3 different lengths, front 25/32" center 1" and rear 1-9/16". And if I remember correctly the nut is 11/16" and the bolt head is 9/16".
"Remember son, there are two ways to do this: The right way, and your way” Thanks Dad, I love you too.

Re: Body bolts for 27 Touring
Brent, are you looking for the body MOUNTING bolts? If so, and you can wait just a bit, these have finally come up to the top on my fasteners project list, now that the rear axle housing bolts/nuts are finished. I have sent the factory drawings to my "small run" automatic screw machine shop (owned by a cousin) and am awaiting their quote on full sets of these bolts. They do top quality work and make many of the fasteners I supply.

Rv,
Yes, the body mounting bolts for the 27 touring. I’m looking at Spring 2022, so if you could have them by that time, I’d like a set.
Just let me know.
Thanks so much!

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
