Hi All,
Just wondering about the new coil box rebuild kit with plastic wood. Does anybody have any good/bad experience with painting the outside black? I noted that carbon in paint would cause problems. Does anybody have a recommendation for what paint would work? What about acrylic?
Thanks,
John

If the car is pre-26 I wouldn't bother. The firewall hides it. For 26-27, how about putting on a layer of wood grained contact vinyl before you install the hardware?

I used the rebuild kit from Lang's with great success on my '26. The plastic is black and you really can't tell it's not wood until you touch it.
Went together quickly <1hr. Well worth the $70. The old wood I removed was cracked badly..... an ignition problem in the making.
