I've been very quiet about posting up-dates about the Tulare Swap Meet for 2022. Its time to really start putting in a "push" for everyone to get ready to have some fun and attend this year!! The spaces are selling briskly and we're expecting a very good turn out. Even if we sell all the spaces designated at this time, we'll expand for more!! As you are all very aware, this could , and should, be the "Premier Pre-War/Brass Era Swap Meet" on the West Coast. That might sound like a tall order to fill, (as you all know, there are several other fantastic events out here in the West), but I believe Tulare offers a venue that simply can't be matched by other locations. Chickasaw seems to be very well attended this year and Tulare will follow suit. The facilities are nothing short of fantastic and all that attended last year seemed to be very pleased. There are going to be lots of associated events and activities to see and attend. I personally purchased two swap meet spaces for the MTFCA. This can be used as a gathering place for members and a place to "showcase" our club to potential new members and other attendees. There will be a few Model T's on display at the "booth" and I'm hoping there will be club related items available for purchase. The club could use some help "manning the booth" if anyone is interested in volunteering. I'll be busy registering vendors for the 2023 event, but I should have some time to meet with all of you. I'll keep everybody up-dated on a regular basis since the time is drawing near. Let's get ready to have some fun!! With Kind Regards,
Bill Bennett

Re: IT’S A GO!!! 2022 Bakersfield Swap Meet, in Tulare CA.
The most important west coast swap meet of the year for those of us that are into not only pre war (WW11) but pre 1930s motor vehicles, especially Model T Fords. Last year a multitude of T stuff, and prices in most cases were really down to earth. Whether your in the market to buy or need to clean house a little Tulare is the place to be in April

Looking forward to this year’s swap meet. I’ve started gathering stuff that’s too awkward to ship. I’ll post a list closer to the event.

Re: IT’S A GO!!! 2022 Bakersfield Swap Meet, in Tulare CA.
I had a meeting with Wally Roeben at the Agri-Center Monday morning. He said the swap meet spaces are selling very well-especially in the Pre-War/Brass Era area. This looks very promising. If you're still "on the fence" about attending this event, I'd highly recommend making the effort to travel to Tulare. The only way we can keep events like this happening is if they are well attended. I sure you've all seen the trend in the hobby to having fewer and fewer events with those events getting smaller and smaller. Let's give this wonderful hobby a boost and start attending as many events as possible. Bring the kids, grand-kids, and great-grand-kids!! We need to have some youth involvement!! I spoke with Steven Chase shortly after the meeting and we discussed a few details. Wally and Steve will be working together to try and have "preferred parking" for the Pre-War cars in the show grounds. This is still in the works, but it looks promising. The MTFCA "booth" should be set up with shade and a few refreshments. I'm working on getting a few cars for display in the booth so people have a chance to see what we so much enjoy working on. If I can make the arrangements, one of those cars will be very special indeed. Further up-dates will be up-coming. Let's get ready to have some fun in Tulare!! With Kind Regards, Bill Bennett

We have been in contact with “Teresa” at the international ag center in Tulare and she assures me that they are working on all Vendor Registration Forms that have been mailed to her and that you will be hearing back from them soon. Although they may be slow at this, all is good. Please do not lose faith. This will be the West Coast’s premier brass era/ pre-war event.

We spoke to the Ag Center today. They said they have sent out up to "J" street. They did give us our space numbers over the phone.
We will be in L/M44 and M43 and there will be great deals. Everything must go!

Re: 2022 Bakersfield Swap Meet, April 23 & 24, in Tulare CA.
Is everybody ready?! About one week away from the Second Annual Pre-War Brass-Era Swap Meet at the Tulare Agri-Center. I hope everybody is looking forward to this wonderful event as much as I am. The spaces are still selling at a brisk pace and this is really looking fantastic this year. I'll be working in the booth to take reservations for 2023, so please stop in and say hi. I'll provide the space number in the next day or two. I'd love to meet each and every one of you. I always try and keep a positive attitude toward all things, but, If there is anything you notice that can be improved for next year, please let me know. Just remember, I can't control the weather and the parts the vendors are bringing, or the prices they're asking for those parts. Along that note, if you're bringing some special parts you want to advertise, let us know on the forum. Also, if you're looking for a specific item let everybody know your requests as well. This is a tremendous amount of work to put together and I'm very appreciative of everybody that is pitching in to assist in so many ways. I'm not going to "name names", because I'll forget someone and I don't want anybody to feel left out. You all who know who you are and I'd like to thank each and every one of you. Let's make this a successful event for generations to come. The fun will begin soon!! With Kind Regards, Bill Bennett

Re: 2022 Bakersfield Swap Meet, April 23 & 24, in Tulare CA.
Come on Bill!
How can you not be responsible for the prices people are selling things for? I expect all the other dealers to sell things dirt cheap and I will be asking top prices on the stuff that I sell:)
Actually, I plan to take stuff I don’t want to take home, so hopefully it will be a good price for someone else! Also, I will bring the Ford Arduino Coil Tester. Feel free to come by to get your coils adjusted.

Re: 2022 Bakersfield Swap Meet, April 23 & 24, in Tulare CA.
We will be at Tulare swap meet too. We vend ignition parts from 1910 to 1960 and will be in space J49. The price of diesel dictates that will not have out usual vending trailer full of items but rather just a small sample of the products we do have, ie, point sets, rotors and distributor caps. Sooooo, if you or anyone you know is looking for NOS ignition parts for most makes and models, we can pack a special box for you and deliver to the meet. We plan to leave Tuesday morning so time is short. Leave me a personal message

Re: 2022 Bakersfield Swap Meet, April 23 & 24, in Tulare CA.
Hi Everybody! Just a few days away!! I had a meeting this afternoon with Wally at the Agri-Center. The grid for the Pre-War/Brass-Era area is nearly sold out. Literally less than ten spaces remain. Wally is ready to "expand the field" to meet the demand. I must say this is very encouraging. I'll be in space L28. I won't have much of anything for sale, but I'll be taking reservations for next year's event. If you want to keep your space, you'll have first chance to reserve it. I'm hoping this will be an opportunity to meet many of the vendors on an individual basis. If you're a buyer, stop by and say Hi. I reserved two spaces for The Model T Ford Club of America. They are spaces L/M49 & L/M51. I'll have a very special 1911 touring car on display in those spaces and a 10x20 canopy with tables and chairs. I hope there will be club members interested in using those spaces as a gathering place and a location to high-light our club for other attendees. If you're still undecided about attending, I highly encourage you to come out and enjoy this event. There will be a lot of things to see and do. The weather is supposed to be nearly perfect. I look forward to seeing many of you in Tulare!! With Very Kind Regards, Bill Bennett

We're in need of good 26/27 rear axle housings (non oil plug side). Can do $5.00 to $10.00 each. Let me know if you can help out. Mark Chaffin

Looking forward to attending.
Maybe a dumb question but what time does the swap meet open to the public on Saturday? I have looked everywhere and can't find the hours.
Thank you

Their are 2 different maps floating about showing the swap spaces. The one on this forum does not match the one I have. Can someone publish the correct layout.

Re: 2022 Bakersfield Swap Meet, April 23 & 24, in Tulare CA.
To answer the questions posted most recently, The swap meet opens for the public at 7:00am Saturday morning. The map posted on the forum appears to be the correct map for the current lay-out. There might be some expansion to meet the demand, but the map posted seems to be "correct". 9:00am tomorrow morning is the big move in time. Vendors have from 9:00am through 9:00pm to get their spaces set up. There will be additional set-up time from 5:30-7:00am Saturday morning for vendor set-up. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you there. I'll be in space L28 taking pre-registrations for next year. Let's have some fun in Tulare. With Kind Regards, Bill Bennett

After further examination, I’m hopeful it is in the area where the lower L numbers are repeated.

I will be at M49 with FACT coil tester. Bring some coils by to get them tested. I will have a couple Ford Arduino Coil Tester modules if anyone is interested in them.
